w00t! 4000 pageviews! Looking good, people, looking veeery good...

Anyway. Remember my very first deviation? Terrible model, right? I can't believe I was actually proud of that piece of Bantha poodoo.

So, rather than try and polish this godawful model, I simply started over. While with the previous one, I tried to take a more personal artistic touch (read: "made myself an excuse for the laughable lack of detail"), I gave myself the challenge of doing a movie-accurate (or as movie-accurate as I could) version of the infamous Imperial Star Destroyer.

Of course, I'm going to use these bad boys for Jedi Renegade, as an entire fleet of those will appear (and sometimes, get blown to smithereens) in at least two of the four chapters.

I love the amount of detail you put into this!

Believe it or not, it's still not a 100% accurate rendition from the movies. Oh, well. Close enough, I guess.

Accuracy doesn't matter as much when the final product turns out this good.

looks great

speaking of models I've built some full scale models of star wars ships in minecraft. So far, I've completed an x-wing [link] and a tie fighter. I'll keep working my way up to large ships and eventually I'll attempt to build a full scale star destroyer.
