HL - The Seven Hour War

Alright, people, before you get any goosebumps, this is nothing official. I did this for fun.

There was a blog entry recently on #VALVe-community about the fact that if any Half-Life movie was ever to be made, Gabe Newell would much rather have VALVe do it themselves. And following a conversation with ~SwlabrGears about the Seven Hour War being a potential movie subject, I thought I'd come up with a little teaser of my own.

I think the Seven Hour War is the biggest part left in the dark in the Half-Life storyline. If VALVe was ever to produce this kind of movie, I'd be eager to see what they would be able to tell about that bloody conflict.

As for the picture itself, I must say I ain't too unhappy about it. Using textures from the awesome website CGTextures.com, tweaking them a little here and there and playing around with gradients to darken the atmosphere a bit, I believe it's one of my best Half-Life-themed works so far. But hey, feedback is welcome as usual.

No 3D modelling was used at any level whatsoever, only Photoshop CS3 and, as mentioned above, the textures come from CGTextures.com.
